qBittorrent & operating system versions

qBittorrent version: v4.5.5 (64-bit)
Libtorrent version: 1.2.19.0
Qt version: 5.15.10
Boost version: 1.83.0
OpenSSL version: 1.1.1v
zlib version: 1.2.13
OS version: Windows 8.1 Version 6.3 (Build 9600) 6.3.9600 x86_64

What is the problem?

Qbittorrent crashes on its own, it happens at least once a week, here is some info that might be helpful:

  1. I have webUI enabled
  2. I have an upload speed limit on
  3. I have assigned qbittorrent a specific network interface from the advanced settings
  4. Usually I don't turn it off, it is always working
  5. I don't have a lot of active torrents, maxed at 20
  6. I have the qbittorrent dark theme on
  7. I have the encryption allowed
  8. I have anonymous mode on

Steps to reproduce

N/A as this issue happens without any user interaction and at random time intervals.

Additional context

This issue started to happen about 3 to 4 months ago, I tried a clean install, it didn't work. I tried to upgrade or downgrade, still didn't work. I didn't change my device configuration at all.

The log file doesn't have any relatable information at all, I check it for more than a month, no anomalies.

This version is the last to support Windows 8, and yes I know it is pretty old. I am just wondering what changed to cause that issue, it was working fine for a long time.

@ahmedhamdy2121 This issue has been experienced by users who have been running Windows 7 & 8 however it's exact cause has not been fully determined....

BTW: Do you use VPN & if you do what brand & version?
