Installing aztx from riweston/aztx

I think this might be related to this issue

I have tested just now the latest version using ubuntu in a docker container (installing brew from scratch) and this installs aztx without issue. I've tried upgrading aztx on my own WSL2, again, without issue.

Could you try following the steps outlined in the linked issue?

sudo apt-get install build-essential procps curl file git

Above made the job.
