Running musl-reference-tests is impossible outside linux (and still nontrivial to run on linux) #247

I think there's no easy way to run tests that verify output on any platform other than linux? And on linux I wasn't quite able to get it working with musl either...

Ideally tests could run on other platforms. Barring that, more detailed instructions in CONTRIBUTING.md for how to run musl-reference-tests would be nice.

(This has kept me from contributing even though I've noticed a number of possible optimizations in various functions)
