I think I agree with the spirit of this issue, but I'm not necessarily convinced that it's the right place to implement it. Arguably, what should be the case is that Oracle packages the JCE into its Javas so as to not force its users to write shims. That being said, I'm curious to hear others' thoughts on the issue.
@elliotweiser as I understand this, this will never happen - because of legal issues Oracle will not distribute the JVM with JCE enabled by default. JCE is not allowed to be used in all countries and therefore it must be an "opt in".
sdkman should provide a way to ease the installation of Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength which can be downloaded from oracle, e.g. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jce8-download-2133166.html
