This is sort of a duplicate of #22 which is marked as resolved as a doc change in 351fcf0, presumably based on comment #22 (comment) ?

I'm not sure the assessment is correct. I would totally understand a response of, this configuration is not supported (unless someone provides a PR 😉 ) 😃 hexyl works fine under non cmd.exe terminal like mintty, which the readme does mention.

https://github.com/sharkdp/bat works perfectly fine under Windows with CMD.exe - is there any commonality in the code for color output across the two tools?
