Could you expand on what you mean? I was working and now it not. What is the issue and what does CDM keys have to do with it and what do you do with it?

Without cdm keys, ofdl relies on the 3rd party site cdrm-project.org to handle decrypting the videos, as is indicated in the yellow warning message when ofdl starts up. They often have issues, as they seem to be having at the moment. With keys, ofdl doesn't use them at all; it's more reliable and also faster. Generating these keys is complicated and that's why we now have a bot seeded with a latge number of keys to give out on Discord, so folks don't have to set up Android Studio, create a virtual phone in the emulator, and extract the keys from it.

Apologies if I was a bit short on details, I've been explaining this to a large number of people the last few days, and it's during my work hours atm at the day job.

3. Inside the OFDLVx.x.xx there's a folder called "cdm". Inside it, create a folder called "devices" and inside this one (devices), create a folder called "chrome_1610". Finally, inside this last one (chrome_1610), place the files downloaded in 2.
4. Restart the .exe
5. It's all resolved

No, they're a permanent fix. 1.8.0 fixed connectivity to cdrm-project, turns out that it wasn't an outage but instead a change in their API. But with keys, ofdl doesn't need to use them at all.
