responsive sizes?

is it possible to have something with min-width: content so that it fill the entire space, but shows a scroll bar if the space is not large enough?

e.g.

            ListView {
                for data in my_content : Rectangle {
                    height: 30px;
                    min-width: auto;
                    max-width: 100%;
                    Text {
                        text: data.name;
                    }
             }

I do not see what you are trying to do here... Why do you set the min-width/max-width at all?

Because I do want the Rectangle/Text element to grow larger than the parent list and show a scroll bar when the content is larger than the list area. But they seems to default to parent.width when i do not specify any width, e.g.:

    ListView {
        for data in input_ports : Rectangle {
            height: 30px;
            Text {
                text: data.name;
            }
