What problem are you facing?

Desktop version does not allow for fingerprint App Lock

What's the solution you'd like to see in Notesnook?

Full integration of the App Lock with Windows Hello for a secure implementation

What alternatives have you considered?

Using a external software Security Key relying on DPAPI. But it doesn't feel particularly secure, and would require me to implement Windows Hello integration in it https://github.com/Watfaq/SoftU2F-Win

Additional context

I have no experience with Electron so can't really contribute with implementing it in a reasonably secure way

Bitwarden uses similar technology and already implemented it if can be helpful: https://github.com/bitwarden/clients/tree/main/apps/desktop/desktop_native/windows-plugin-authenticator

Although it seems like it was done using an external native rust binary (?)
