Cannot use html in tokens

Some tokens like {address.address_block} contain line breaks (br).

When using the option "Use PHPWord macros for token replacement", tokens containing html are not shown at all.
Without the option the html gets filtered and the tokens are shown without formating.

It would be very helpful if at least "br" tags would be allowed in tokens.

Maybe I am just doing something wrong because this seems to be a feature used everyday...
