Migration failed after upgrading from 0.23.1 to 0.24.0 - "unable to open database file: out of memory (14)"

Issue Description

I encountered an issue when trying to migrate the Memos database after upgrading from version 0.23.1 to 0.24.0. The migration fails with the error "unable to open database file: out of memory (14)".

I previously upgraded from 0.23.0 to 0.23.1 without any issues, so this problem seems to be specific to the 0.24.0 update. Additionally, if I switch back to version 0.23.1, the database still works fine, which means the issue only occurs during migration to 0.24.0.

Environment Information

• Memos Version: 0.24.0
• Previous Version: 0.23.1 (no migration issues before)
• Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS
• Database Type: SQLite
• Command Executed:

  ./memos --mode migrate --data ./data/memos_dev.db

• Database File Path: ./data/memos_dev.db

Issue Details

1. Running PRAGMA integrity_check; returns ok, indicating the database is not corrupted.
2. The database file exists, and the permissions are correct (755 for the directory, and the file is owned by root).
3. The migration fails with the following error log:

Attempts to Fix

1. Checked memory usage (free -h) → There is still available memory.
2. Verified file permissions (ls -lah ./data/memos_dev.db) → File is readable and writable, no permission issues.
3. Checked database integrity (PRAGMA integrity_check;) → No corruption detected.
4. Tried migrating using a database backup (via SQLite .clone command) → Still got the same error.
5. Manually created the migration_history table → Migration still failed.
6. Tried using a newly created database → Migration succeeded, but original data is lost.

Request for Help

I would like to know:

• What could be causing the "out of memory (14)" error when migrating the SQLite database?
• Are there any known solutions or workarounds?
• Is this an issue related to the Memos migration logic, or is it a problem with SQLite itself?

How much system memory do you have allocated for the system (e.g. container) running memos?
I had a similar error when trying to build memos with 1GByte. No more issues when increasing the memory to 2GByte.

Oh! Indeed, I am running Memos using the prebuilt binary directly. My system's available memory is already below 200Mi, so I think I now understand where the issue comes from. Thanks a lot! :)
