How do you people run the Django instance for generating the static website ? (on demand startup ? run it locally ? always running ? other ideas ?)

Hey !

I love the concept of using the great wagtail for the backend and spitting out a static website. Awesome work !!

But how do you people actually use it in terms of running wagtail itself, esp. for cases with few users/edits ?

• Do you still maintain a running server just for the backend (partially negating the benefits of a static website in terms of security/simplicity/maintenance costs) ?
• Or do you have your users run it locally ? And if so any
• Or do you have on-demand starting of the backend ? (I think heroku used to do this on free tiers)
• Other smart ideas ?
