The 'Renew automatically' functionality of the app no longer works. The URL provided in 'Manual Setup' as well as the one used in 'Shell Script' are no longer valid and no longer renew the session timer. It is still possible to extend the session by using the app's 'Renew session' button but that is less than ideal as it isn't easy to automate.

When the URL is accessed, the following error code is provided:

"{"result":"success","errorCode":"200","errorMsg":"GNL"}

But the session timer is still not renewed/updated.

Is it possible to update the URL?

How was it behaving before?

result: success means it worked, the error means nothing and always occurs

If it worked, the timer would be extended. Since the timer isn't extending, it isn't working. I am having the same issue as the OP. Additionally, this person had the same issue:

@HitoSarg The timer shown in the app doesn't refresh unless you restart the TV.

I've restarted my TV multiple times as per the linked comment's suggestion. It does not, in fact, extend the timer.

@HitoSarg Do you mean reboot by unplugging the TV from power?
Every time the TV performs a cold boot, it fetches the remaining time of the token only once, so when it's powered on, refreshing the validity of the token won't have any change in the app. Pressing the remote button to turn off doesn't count, as it's practically just suspend into memory.

Unless otherwise specified, I followed the instructions linked in the other comment. One of which was to reboot by powering off.

@HitoSarg What do you get if you request https://developer.lge.com/secure/CheckDevModeSession.dev?sessionToken=[YOUR_TOKEN]?

webOS checks that in early stage of boot. So if the TV is not yet online, it may not get the latest result.

Snapshot boot could also be a factor.

Since devmode time validity will only be checked, and disabled upon a cold start, we can assume the timer has been extended when you see such "error" message.
