URL/Address Bar Shortcut Not Working Well

There are two problems I am facing with the shortcut CTRL+K! I have enabled the single toolbar and the compact mode with hidden sidebar. So whenever I click ctrl+L, it opens the sidebar and focuses the address bar of the sidebar! Then after starting to type, then only it pops the address bar in the middle of the screen and if I press ESC then again it opens the sidebar! It would have been great if it directly opens the address bar in the middle of screen instead of focusing the address bar inside the hidden sidebar.

The second problem is that it clears out the url of the current website I am in from the address bar. Suppose I am in "github.com/zen-browser/desktop" and I click ctrl+k, then it gives me a empty address bar without the current website link I am in.

Please help me solve these problems. It will make my experience more smoother with zen!
