Add non-date version support

Pulling my comment -- in our case, what we really need is a clean transition from version schema that wasn't date based into a date based one. No problems moving the versioning scheme, but being able to handle the transition well in Cadwyn itself would be make our adoption much easier.

Yup. Can do that. Is your version schema like this?

v1, v2, v3, v4?

Also: are you OK with header-based versioning for your case? One of the things I was working on is adding support for path-based versioning

Path based would be fantastic if I'm being picky. Without it, we'd have to get into rewrites.
