For our first project, we are to use our newly acquired skills and knowledge to build a web application from scratch. With our team, we will conceive and execute a design that solves a real-world problem by integrating data received from multiple server-side API requests.
We will be employer-ready if we are able to:
-
Speak technically about a features we implemented in our project
-
Explain and execute git branching workflow in a collaborative project
-
Resolve merge conflicts
-
Explain agile software development
-
Design, build, and deploy a client-side web application using GitHub Pages
-
Prepare a professional presentation and repository README for our project
This is a webpage designed to show the road conditions, snow fall accumulation, weather, and directions to get to Colorado ski resorts located in the cities ; Dillon, Salida, Keystone, Vail, and Breckenridge.
On load the user is presented with a responsize nav-bar and three main boxes. The first one contains five labeled buttons that link the city names to the corresponding infomation that populates once clicked in the second box. The second box contains the weather forcast, snow accumulation, and the wind speeds. The third box contains a map with directions and road conditions of the five pinned mountain resort locations. At the bottom of the page there is a footer with responsive links to take you directly to the live snow-cam footage of all five mountains. The page is web responsive and fully functional.
