CAPSTONE- Travel App Project

Overview

This project is a travel app that allows users to enter their destination city and date of departure to dynamiallu update the UI.

Methodization

• Use GeoNames.org API to fetch location data of entered city

• Use Weatherbit.io API to get weather for arrival date with icons

• Use Pixabay.com API to display image of destination city

• Use webpack for development and production builds

• Use jest to test

• Install service workers

Instructions

• Get API keys for Weatherbit and Pixabay and a username for GeoNames.org.
• Pick a destination and date
• Get result

Extension

The project was extended by integrating the REST Countries API to pull in data for the country being visited.
