You can easily traverse nodes like

a = remote.sync(execution, sync_nodes=True)
def traverse_node(node: FlyteNodeExecution, level=0):
    print("-" * level, " " if level else "", node.id.node_id, sep="")
    for sub_node in node:
        traverse_node(sub_node, level+1)

for node in a.node_executions_list:
    traverse_node(node)

Example output:
