This is an alpha version of the X-Cash Desktop Wallet, in the process of being tested and improved before its official release. This being so, there are no warranties, whether express or implied, as to the suitability or usability of the wallet.

Please refrain from using this wallet for day-to-day operations or for storing or sending large amounts of XCASH. Use it to test or to contribute. Always securely save your mnemonic seed and/or private keys to back up your wallets in case of an unexpected error.

When the program is installed, it will create a new directory, xcash-official-v2 in C:\Users<user>\ (for ubuntu it will be in your home user directory) and copy over your old wallet files. On windows it will also add a desktop icon.

Windows (tested on Windows 10)

1. Download the windows install below.
2. If you get the message that this isn't commonly downloaded, put your courser on the message and click the three dots to the right. Then click keep. Then click Show more and then click Keep Anyway.
3. Navigate to the directory where you downloaded the file and right click the file, click Unblock, and then click ok.
4. To check the SHA256 Hash open a command prompt window and run the command: "certutil -hashfile xCash-Desktop-Wallet-2.0.4-Setup.exe SHA256"
5. After verifying the hash, you can run the install program by double clicking it or right click and open.
6. You should now see an icon on your desktop (you may have to refresh the screen).
7. To run just use the icon.
8. To uninstall just use 'Program and features' on the 'Control Panel'.

Ubuntu (tested on Ubuntu Desktop 20.04)

1. Download the Ubuntu package below.
2. Use this command to uninstall the package if installed: sudo dpkg -r xcashdtwallet
3. Use this command to install the package: sudo dpkg -i xcashdtwallet_2.0.4_amd64.deb
4. Click the show applications icon on the bottom left side bar and look for xcashdtwallet. When you find it, you can right click and add to your favorites.
5. Use this command to uninstall the package: sudo dpkg -r xcashdtwallet

Fixed issues

1. When sending a large amount of X-Cash the confirm screen did not show the correct value that was being sent. Also, displays a message if the send transaction will be broken into multiple transaction due to the amount being sent.
2. Fixed the revote option. Turns out this never worked in the old X-Cash software.
3. Updated error messages for vote and revote options.
4. Refresh screen after revoting to display the correct amount of X-Cash that is staked.

If you have installed the program earlier, I would uninstall and reboot before installing. This process will not be needed in future updates.

Fixed issues

1. If wallet file exists when importing a wallet, the program would hang on the importing screen.
2. Fixed glitch when uninstalling program on windows. Uninstall would hang.
3. More improvements to wallet import and wallet create options. Both options now show the current block that is being processed so you can see more of what is going on.

Fixed issues

1. Fixed issue when restoring a wallet on Ubuntu
2. Correct error messages on wallet restore and wallet add.
3. For wallet restore set a default value of zero for block height field.
4. Add logic so only one copy of the program can run at a time due to wallet-rpc process limitations.
5. If the program encounters an error at start-up, improved the error messaging.
6. Fix icon on Ubuntu.
7. Not stopping wallet-rpc correctly process on ubuntu.
