This data is calculated from the Patients recovered vs. deceased and the cumulative number of patients that are and have been in the ICU as reported by Stichting NICE. The chart is updated once an hour.
You are looking at a rounded percentage of patients (y-axis) in the ICU that have died up to a certain date (x-axis). This value should stabilize / flatten out as time progresses.
The formula is as follows, where d is number of deceased patients and p is cumulative number of patients that are and have been in the ICU.
