The FEI Magellan is a HR-FEG-SEM used to perform HR-DIC on samples deformed ex-situ.

FEI Maps

In order to image a statistically significant number of grains, a montage must normally be created. This can be accomplished with FEI maps, which includes a focus interpolation function.
